People enter therapy for a variety of reasons.
Perhaps there's been a crisis, chronic stress or pain, a history of abuse or dysfunction in relationships, or simply a feeling that things are falling apart. As part of our human experience we may go through heartbreak or tragedy and we can feel overwhelmed as our emotions or thoughts create disturbance in our lives. Pandemics, traumas, car accidents, divorce, loss of loved ones, tension in relationships, communication challenges, disturbed sleep, work difficulties, etc. can happen and contribute to our experience of suffering. These experiences can leave an imprint in the form of emotional, mental, spiritual or physical pain and can impact our ability to be resilient, fulfilled and present in our lives. Whatever your reason for seeking therapy, I believe the challenge is to find relief, feel better, and inhabit life more fully. When we consistently connect to ourselves and our bodies it is possible to discover an empowering antidote for our suffering. |
Andrea's Approach |
My approach offers you a means to work towards strength, resiliency, life meaning, and increased health and happiness. Together we explore what led to your current symptoms (anxiety, frustration, difficult communications, feeling overwhelmed, etc.), and try to better understand how past and present experiences currently impact your life. We collaborate to find tools and solutions that best fit for you to grow and be successful in attaining your therapy and personal goals.

Working with Andrea |
As a psychotherapist, I practice from a framework that is heart-centered, wellness-based, and experiential to address a broad range of concerns. I'm inspired by a range of psychological approaches. In our sessions I may utilize mindfulness, EMDR, talk and role-play therapy, skill-building, and/or experiential methods to support you. Whether we focus on a specific issue or a long-standing pattern, I will do my best to be in service to your healing. I enjoy working creatively with people that want to be more in balance in their lives and are interested in self-awareness and freedom. In our work together I become your witness, sometimes guide and mirror, and an open-hearted believer in your ability to feel better. I look forward to meeting with you.
